Things To Avoid When Making Dental Marketing Ads

I recently looked into some of the top cosmetic dental groups in my immediate area. As a direct response marketer I couldn’t help but notice how clueless some of them were when it comes to online marketing. One common problem that was obvious to me was the fact that many of these Dental web sites had come from the phone company.

One of the biggest dental marketing companies mistakes is not having a website. In this day and age having a website is vital to all business, even your dental business. A website is a crucial tool to add to your marketing toolkit. Patients often look for their future dentists on the web. They read reviews that former patients have written about a dental business and they look for a website to get more information when they are researching for a new dentist or dental practice. You have to have a web presence; not having one is a huge mistake.

Recently though, I have noticed that my clients have not been taking enough advantage of having a captive audience in their practices. I mean, here they have a patient sitting in their chair for a whole hour or two or more, right? What thoughts, other than “I’m in pain,” “my butt and back hurt,” and “I can’t wait to get out of here,” can we get into their heads?

Now let’s consider how it feels when you have lots of new patients in your practice. You are not feeling stressed out, miserable and frustrated, are you?

Post garbage information on website/send out garbage information in the mail – You want to make sure all your content is useful. It doesn’t necessarily have to be about dentistry, but it does need to be useful.

One extra tip – when considering marketing programs for dentists, the cost of acquiring a new patient is, by far, the most important factor to consider.

In order to show how these life events can be useful as a marketing tool, let’s take one or two of them and see how and where to market to these people at the proper time.

There are certain stop words that search engine spiders see and that spells out bad news for your web site. If you do not have the right structure in your site then it is not going to be able to be crawled through very effectively. In addition if you have to wrong long tailed keywords in your site you can pretty much forget about attracting traffic.
