Don’t Learn Left Handed Guitar – Do It The Right Way

Some time passed and my younger brother Ron joined the military and by shear coincidence he ended up being posted to CFB Gage town in New Brunswick. I had heard that Wayne was there and told Ron to be sure and look up Wayne and see if his little finger still went crooked when he played the guitar after he drank too much rum. Ron and Wayne connected and Wayne became as good a friend to Ron as he had been to me. Many times Ron would stay with Wayne and his wife Phyllis when he was in no shape to drive home. I knew Ron was in good hands with Wayne.

Maintenance of instruments having water keys involves using the extended time of playing to blow through and remove the excess moisture in the process. Always wipe your hands with a clean cloth in order to wipe the oil and perspiration off it.

So, how do you buy cheap acoustic guitars for beginners? Firstly, it is important that you go out and physically hold and play one. There is no substitute and you will only regret it later if you do not do this. To actually get the guitar in your hands you will have to go to a music shop. Most towns will have a sydney piano centre and you will be able to walk in and try any guitar they have in stock. This is where it can get interesting. I would not suggest that you buy the guitar from the shop, just try as many as you can. That way you will know exactly which model you want.

Which brings us to the present. I’ve gotten a heck of a lot better in a very short period of time. I’m no Hendrix, but I can hold my own on some pretty tough tunes including Queen’s “Killer Queen” I don’t recall ever playing a song with so many chords.

It makes good sense to buy “previously used” garments for children. It is possible to find beautifully kept designer kiddies garments at amazingly cheap prices and this goes for children’s toys too. Children grow out of their garments so quickly that many children can wear the same little outfits before the garments start looking worn.

If you want a new electric organ such as the Roland Atelier, its going to cost you anything up to twenty thousand pounds. Having said that, the organ market is all but dead in the UK, so there is a thriving second hand market, and plenty of bargains to be had. If you want an electric keyboard then you can buy one of these, brand new with the latest technology for between two and three thousand pounds. If you do go down the keyboard path then I would recommend you buy an arranger keyboard such as the Yamaha Tyros, Ketron SD5, Roland G70 or the Korg PA 800. Although there is some operational learning with these keyboards, they are designed so you can start playing the thing as soon as you take it out of the box.

Another big enemy of your guitar is actually your hands. The strings and fretboard will pick up the dirt and residue from your hands, and this can build up significantly over time. While it isn’t always possible, it is a good idea to clean your hands before playing your guitar.

My recommendation is not to go for the best “name” guitar or the most expensive. Get a beginners guitar that sounds great and has a nice action or feel all the way up the neck. Be aware that there are many extremely cheap guitars flooding the market, but not very well made. Try and take someone with you who knows about neck action and guitars before you make your first purchase.
